The weather is getting cold recently. My grey parrot is 1.5 years old. Is it ok to leave him in the balcony at night with a cover over the cage?

其實香港天氣凍極有限, 而鸚鵡最怕的是突然而來的温差.
即在室內生活24度環境時, 你突然帶他出街, 而室外氣温只有15度, 這就有問題.
就像之前幾天, 人也覺冷.

1.5歲已算穩定, 如果佢一直養在室外而晚上有蓋布, 基本已比較適應. 但如果日間氣温低於20度, 見意你在晚上搬佢入室內, 佢會舒服D. 如果再凍D, 最好日間也搬到室內.

睇吓佢有無震震震，摸吓雙脚仔凍唔凍，注意有無成日瞓唔玩唔食，凍就要及時保暖。
放室外晒太陽好呀，但要注意唔好冷親。
呢排忽冷忽熱，小心小心！

African Grey Parrots must have direct daily access to sunlight or UVB full spectrum lighting in order to obtain the ideal level of vitamin D3 and normal calcium levels in the blood. Diet alone does not produce the ideal levels.

如果你日間也搬到室外唔知會點!

I don't think it's a good idea, anyway some people think that 1.5 yr old grey is still consider very young... no point taking the risk.
And what if it rains in the middle of the night?

過住幾年有幾日都好冷, 但只用圍板擋點風雨, 什麼保溫都沒有做, 好彩都無事.

野雀活得幾耐? 有幾多歲? 通常死了就算，遊人不知也不會理，係咪同一隻都不會知。
今早6點幾收衫(鸚兒用品)，d 風勁吹兼勁凍。
雀放室外的話，要注意住幾多樓，座向，太晒或太大風。一樓和七十樓已差好多度。
雀的品種是否怕凍? (非洲灰鸚好潺弱)
仲要儲定大把醫葯費。

冬天室外養"雪鵰"應該無問題！

Usually for adult parrot is fine, you have fully cover the cage, but friendly speaking for me I won't take the risk, it's depend how you treat him/her like as your lovely son or just a bird?
my advise is put him indoor intead of outdoor.

it could be fine as birds that live in the wild do not have houses
but why take the risk when you can just take it indoor for the night

我屋企五隻雀都係響"騎樓"養，
但係騎樓都有窗，
平時夜晚會蓋布瞓，
呢幾日凍左會閂埋隻窗瞓，
再凍d就會蓋厚d布，
只要唔好兜頭兜面吹正風，
應該問題不大既…

鸚鵡王國幾排繁殖鳥籠~都在山頂室外~有些什至沒有任何摭擋~北風直吹~唔通人地d鸚鵡唔洗錢買咩~都要珍惜架~

幾大原因~:

1全都是成鳥~初鳥有成鳥補溫~
2到最凍的日子~會罩上帳蓬~
3習慣
4死左/病左冇出聲~

我們主人家中只是養一隻或幾隻~當然可以照顧得好d啦~
如果養在室內~我唔需要俾意見~非常安全~
如果定必要養在室外~自己要視天氣同隻鸚鵡年紀~強壯程度/去決定防寒方式~

香港有好鸚鵡都係南非鳥場入口......
南非的天氣都會好凍,雀都係室外的雀籠....所以成鳥唔會太怕凍
