take it to vet
in case the dead muscle affect normal muscle and become worse for the bird

don't know
just that dead muscle will release poison to the body
so even it may seem normal, it maybe affecting the bird
or the vet may fix the joint and the toe will be alright
i am not a vet so u just got to go take it to vet
