為求安心, 我建議你帶隻鸚鵡去驗PBFD (PSITTACINE BEAK AND FEATHER DISEASE). PBFD的其中一個病徵係個咀會不斷增長而令隻鸚鵡無法進食,以至餓死.

"Psittacine beak and feather disease (PBFD) is a viral disease that can affect all psittacine birds (Parrots, Cockatoos and Lorikeets) and possibly, Doves. The virus attacks the cells of the immune system and those which produce feather and beak. Affected birds gradually lose their feathers and develop beak abnormalities.
