So you had the keet for 2 months and so It's approx. 3 months old when he died, right?
You seldom cook, but are you using the non stick type cookware when sometimes you have to cook occasionally? Or is there anyone else in the house that cooks?
Besides, you said he flied and slided on the floor, why did he slide on the floor? Did you do something to do or was he chasing anything during the flight? And what's his reaction after he slided down?
About candles.....are they the scented ones and why do you have to light the candles?
Hair dryer....I'm talking about the telfon type, so you better check it out. if it's the telfon type, it will bring out the harmful substance like that from the non stick cookware.
Apples....did you give the pits/seeds also?
Toy.....what type of string was it? Can you show me the pic?

Remember, any bird can die all of a sudden without showing any symptoms, and if there's any, we might have neglect it also. So pls. answer me the following questions:
1) How many months old was the keet when you got him, you said it's as small as a rice, do you mean you got him when he's just hatched?
2) Do you have any house plant?
3) Any other kinds of pets besides the lovebird and the cockatiel?
4) Are you using non stick cooking ware?
5) Did you let the keet out only when you were with him?
6) Did he fly into something before?
7) How did his poops look like? Was it normal? Pls. give me details.
8) Chemicals used in house for cleaning or air fresheners, scented candles?
9) Teflon or any non stick coated surfaces such as heaters or hair dryers?
10) Besides choy sum and kale, did you feed him other kinds of veggies? Any kind of fruits?
11) What about toys?
Now I need you to answer all of the above questions carefully and in detail pls.
water ..metal...toys and toxic paints on them...the list is endless...
well....if you really meant it slided down on the floor, it shouldn't have hurt much, and if he didn't get hurt at all, then mostly he died because of his diet/water or anything in the house that you didn't notice that is posing danger to the bird.
There is slim to no chance at all with a male and just forget it with the female, its as rare as a swimming pool in a desert...and i don't mean at a resort. You could find a cockatiel talk one in a hundred thousand but well.....to each their own...if you want to try your luck.
And yes, birds can get injured from banging into something and not show it then just die due to internal bleeding and injuries to organs tearing. And too much protein....bad water...and .birds can also be carriers of something and never show sick but pass things on..these could all be the culprit for the death of a bird. Since it's just too months old, the budgie hadn't been eating long enough of the pellets so it must be something else like the egg powder mix and the above that I just mentioned.
